At WNEP, August 4th is a unique anniversary. Exactly ten years have passed since Noah Ritter, also known as the “Apparently Kid,” became viral online for an interview with a Newswatch 16 crew at the Wayne County Fair.
Now, an adolescent Noah is back at the fair, remembering the interview that went viral.
He pointed to the “Super Slide” and said, “10 years ago, this scared me half to death,” recalling his comments about the ride when he was five years old.
During that 2014 interview, Noah was known as the “Apparently Kid” due to his frequent usage of a particular term, which created a lot of happy memories.
“Feels pretty good,” adds Noah, who is now fifteen. “It makes me nostalgic. It brings back memories of being in this exact location ten years ago.
Back at the fair, Noah was accompanied by his grandfather, Jack. He diligently accompanied Noah on all of his crazy adventures and was actively involved in his development.
As it happens, Grandpa Jack has a history of involvement with the Wayne County Fair.
Jack Borowski remarked, “Yes, I used to show cattle here at the fair when I was a kid.” “That’s why I brought him here, because I came here as a kid, and I said, ‘Well, we’ll go up to the fair, and I’ll show ya the animals and stuff, ya know?'”
Noah went straight to Hollywood as a result of his viral interview at the fair. He grew close to Ellen DeGeneres and frequently made guest appearances on her show.
According to Grandpa Jack, “Sometimes, we were in the dressing room at Ellen’s, a lot of the stars, like Jennifer Garner and stuff like that, they’d come to our dressing room just to meet Noah.”
Noah was even chosen to serve as a judge on ABC’s Shark Tank-like reality TV program, The Toy Box. New toy creations are examined and voted on by young judges in this show.
“You do realize he had to spend four hours at school out there? And then, you know, shot the show for eight hours.” Jack stated.
Ten years later, Noah still posts about his adventures with his grandfather online.
“Whenever a new movie comes out, we like to review it, post it on my YouTube Channel,” Noah remarked. “I’m now balancing a lot of things, including football, track, school, and YouTube. I will be starting my second year. I’m preparing to drive.
Noah will never outgrow the Wayne County Fair that appears to run in his family’s blood, even if he is approaching old enough to obtain a driver’s license.
“Coming here, taking in the food, the rides, the animals, and other things like that. See, when they have it, I plan to visit here year. I believe I’ll continue the run.
