Craig Colton, a 22 year old from Liverpool, still lives at home with his mum and dad. He admitted he loves it, because his meals are cooked and his ironing gets done. But on audition day, he was keeping a very big secret from them.
His parents were sitting in the audience, and they had no idea their son was about to perform. Craig had told them he could not use the tickets because he had to work that day. He works in a biscuit factory, and when he said so on stage, he revealed that his dad works there too 😄.
Then he started to sing Skyscraper, and the room went quiet. His voice was strong, clear and full of feeling, and by the last note the audience was on its feet.
The judges told him he had a real recording voice and a natural gift for performing, and they loved his quick sense of humour. Craig got four yeses, and his stunned parents could hardly believe he had kept the whole thing to himself 💛.
