She Turned the Entire AGT Audience Into a Choir… And the Judges Couldn’t Believe What They Were Hearing!

When Astrid Jorgensen stepped onto the America’s Got Talent stage in 2025, she wasn’t planning to deliver an ordinary singing audition.

Instead, she had something far more unusual in mind: turning an entire theater full of strangers into one enormous choir.

Astrid, an Australian musician and choir director, is the creator of Pub Choir, a musical experience that brings people together through singing, regardless of their experience or ability.

And on AGT, she decided to put that concept to the ultimate test.

Rather than simply performing for the judges, Astrid invited the audience to become part of the act.

With remarkable confidence, humor and infectious enthusiasm, she began teaching different sections of the crowd their own vocal parts.

At first, it seemed almost impossible. How could hundreds of people who had never rehearsed together create something beautiful in just a few minutes?

But Astrid knew exactly what she was doing.

As the different sections began singing together, the theater transformed into a massive choir.

What started as a playful audience participation experiment became a powerful demonstration of how music can connect complete strangers.

The magic wasn’t about finding one extraordinary voice. It was about showing what ordinary people could accomplish together.

Astrid’s audition stood out because she didn’t just entertain the audience.

She made the audience the stars of the show.

And in a competition filled with singers, dancers and spectacular acts, that was a refreshing reminder that sometimes the greatest talent is bringing out the best in everyone else.
