When Alizma walked onto the America’s Got Talent stage in 2009, the judges immediately knew this wasn’t going to be an ordinary audition.
The act consisted of three identical triplet sisters from Poland — Aleksandra, Izabela and Monika Okapiec. With matching blonde hair, coordinated outfits and strikingly similar appearances, the sisters caught everyone’s attention before they had even begun.
But Alizma weren’t there simply because they were triplets.
All three were classically trained musicians, and their unusual act combined violin playing, singing and synchronized performance. Once the music began, the sisters transformed the stage into an energetic showcase unlike almost anything else in the competition.
The combination was what made them so memorable. Instead of presenting themselves as a traditional classical string act, Alizma mixed their violin skills with pop-style vocals, choreography and plenty of personality.
Their unusual presentation certainly got the judges talking.
Alizma ultimately earned enough support to move forward from their audition and continued into the competition’s Vegas round. Although they didn’t make it to the live shows, their appearance became one of the more distinctive auditions from America’s Got Talent Season 4.
Three identical sisters playing violins together was already unusual enough—but Alizma wanted to prove there was much more behind their matching appearance.
They walked onto AGT looking almost impossible to tell apart, then showed the judges they had the musical talent to make people remember them.
