On June 20, Luna Fenner, then five years old, had an amazing plastic surgery abroad.
Luna had undergone multiple treatments to remove a face birthmark that was known as the “Batman Mask,” however some scars persisted.
Carol Fenner, her mother, eventually managed to have this vital operation despite a number of visa-related obstacles. Carol sent a touching message on social media prior to the procedure:
“Luna’s first cosmetic procedure is scheduled for tomorrow. We want to increase the mobility of her skin and fix her eyelids, which appear open while she sleeps. Luna is eager and prepared. Please offer up prayers for us.
Carol also thanked the surgeon, Dr. Olga, and wished for a favorable result.
The five-hour process was successfully completed. Dr. Olga declared that they had performed an additional eyelid surgery in addition to removing the scar and birthmark.
The parents were overjoyed with the outcome, and she longed for Luna’s happiness.
Carol posted a video of Luna happily dancing with a bandage on her face the following morning, stating that 12 hours after the procedure, Luna was doing great. She would spend a further three days in the hospital.
At the age of six months, Luna underwent her first operation. Because American doctors had proposed several procedures, which would have cost $200,000 more, her parents decided to receive care overseas.
Luna is now able to live a happier and more confident life as a result of the surgery.
