When 16-year-old Christian Guardino walked onto the America’s Got Talent stage, he looked like an ordinary teen with a nervous smile and big hopes. But his story already made him extraordinary: Christian had been legally blind because of a rare retinal disease and later regained much of his sight through gene therapy.
Then he started singing “Who’s Lovin’ You” by The Jackson 5 — and the entire room changed. His voice was huge, soulful, and packed with emotion, the kind of performance that makes a crowd go silent before exploding into cheers. Even Simon Cowell, who had just helped calm his nerves, looked stunned as Christian powered through the song.
By the end, the audience was on its feet and Howie Mandel hit the Golden Buzzer, sending Christian straight through. The performance quickly became one of the standout moments of AGT 2017 and turned Christian into a fan favorite almost instantly.
