When questioned about his aspirations, King boldly stated that he wanted to appear in films, tour the world, and host his own TV program. He had equally charming plans for the million-dollar prize: a family cruise with free ice cream, roller coasters, and jacuzzis. The audience was instantly won over by this blend of youthful earnestness and professional ambition, which created the ideal conditions for an engaging audition.
During his performance, King sang a rap song that he had written at the age of five. Despite his advanced age, King displayed an unwavering confidence and a powerful stage presence, and the music was immediately contagious. He commanded the enormous stage and kept the energy high as he performed the words with remarkable swagger and rhythm, as though he had been doing this for decades. The entire audience was soon up and dancing, completely engrossed in the young star’s captivating performance.
He had a natural talent for performing, which obviously thrilled the judges. Mel B said he already seemed like a celebrity and praised his “swag and rhythm and confidence.”
Recognizing a unique potential, Simon Cowell referred to him as “naturally good” and emphasized the importance of a young artist penning their own work. Simon foresaw that King would soon be asked to appear on the records of numerous well-known musicians. Acknowledging his evident brilliance and star status, King Moore received a unanimous four “yeses,” advancing in the tournament and making a significant step toward his aspirations of cruising.
