Pranysqa Mishra appeared to be a kind, quiet 9-year-old with big dreams when she entered the America’s Got Talent stage. However, the pressure increased as soon as she announced that she would perform Tina Turner’s “River Deep – Mountain High.” For any performer, much less one so young, it’s a huge song.
The entire atmosphere changed when she began to sing. From the first notes, Pranysqa’s voice stunned the judges and audience with its enormous, self-assured, and traditional strength. She didn’t only sing the song; instead, she gave it a fierce, commanding performance that made everyone forget how old she was.
The theater was up and running by the end. Heidi Klum was so moved that she hit the Golden Buzzer, causing Pranysqa to pass through while gold confetti showered all around her. The little singer was moved to tears, and it turned into one of the most memorable AGT Season 19 auditions.
