When 14-year-old Sirine Jahangir walked onto the Britain’s Got Talent stage, the room went quiet before she even sang. She told the judges she had lost her sight and shared the line that instantly touched everyone: “Music is my vision.” She then sat at the piano and prepared to sing “Salvation” by Gabrielle Aplin.
From the first note, the whole mood changed. Sirine’s voice was soft, pure, and full of emotion, and her piano playing made the performance feel even more personal. Instead of trying to be flashy, she let the song speak for itself — and that honesty is what made the audition hit so hard. Her family were visibly emotional, and the judges sat in stunned silence as she built toward the final lines.
By the end, the audience at the London Palladium was on its feet, and Sirine earned four yeses from the judges. Amanda Holden was reported to have been moved to tears, while David Walliams told her that although she could not see it, the whole theatre was standing and applauding for her. It became one of the most memorable auditions of the 2020 series.
