On Britain’s Got Talent 2026, 20-year-old Finley Barrett-Carter walked out looking more like a laid-back uni student than a superstar. He told the judges he’s used to busking on the streets of York while balancing his studies, singing rock ’n’ roll tunes for anyone who’ll stop and listen.
His song choice showed exactly where his heart is: “Burning Love” by Elvis Presley. As soon as the band kicked in, Finley switched from polite and slightly nervous to full-throttle showman. His tone was rich and gravelly, with that unmistakable Elvis flair, but still completely his own. Within seconds the crowd was clapping along, and the judges were visibly surprised by just how big and charismatic his voice really was.
By the time he hit the final chorus, the whole theatre was buzzing. The panel praised his old-school rock ’n’ roll sound and natural stage presence, calling his voice “made for much bigger stages” than the pavements he’s used to singing on. One performance was all it took for Finley to go from street busker to one of the most talked-about auditions of the new BGT series.
