Season 20 of the NBC show is presently in progress, and both judges and viewers are taking notice of the auditions! On the June 3 show, Girish and the Chronicles, a rock group from Sikkim, India, also left an impression.
Simon Cowell, Sofía Vergara, Howie Mandel, and Mel B were taken aback by the quartet’s audition, which looked like a 1980s rock show. Everyone stood up and started singing “Set Fire to the Rain” by Adele. Mel B had to comment on Girish and the Chronicles’ audition, as if that weren’t enough.
In a YouTube video, she states, “I’m not sure what it is about you.” “But so far this season, you rank among my favorite acts!” The audition for Girish and the Chronicles also shocked Simon. He said, “You can’t fake the reaction behind this.” Both they and we thought you were kind. You have a beautiful voice, by the way.
People were blown away by Girish and the Chronicles’ performance after their audition went viral on social media.
One user commented, “It was really cool that they did an Adele song.” “What’s happening?” These guys are amazing. They play on par with, if not better than, the majority of well-known rock bands. “Very good performance,” someone another said. “GATC is not ready for the world!” Another follower commented, “Rock and roll is here to stay 🤘.”
Did Girlish and the Chronicles get a spot in the competition as a result of their tryout? They certainly did! We’ll have to wait and see how season 20 of AGT plays out for them.
