On prominent talent competitions, Simon Cowell is known for being a harsh and direct judge. Additionally, he has a gift for identifying true talent. Despite Simon’s initial lackluster impression of Celine Tam, the talented 9-year-old soon had the audience on its feet and captured his interest.
In honor of one of her favorite musicians, Celine Dion, she appropriately named her daughter Celine Tam. In an attempt to match the iconic singer’s level of musical ability, many adults try to play Celine Dion songs on shows like America’s Got Talent.
But as soon as she stepped onto the platform, young Celine Tam shown that she could sing the songs of the great Celine Dion.
She decided to sing one of the first Celine Dion songs her parents had ever seen her perform, “My Heart Will Go On.” Her parents admitted that their child was named after Celine Dion since they were huge fans of the artist.
They didn’t think their young Celine would have Dion’s level of musical ability. They eventually recognized and supported their daughter’s voice ability. After investing all of her time, energy, and resources into it, Celine Tam was able to finally show off her exceptional skills on America’s Got Talent.
The audience recognized the girl’s talent right away and stood to cheer when she started performing this Celine Dion song live. After the performance, it was clear that the judges were as amazed by her abilities.
Celine Tam did a fantastic job singing a really challenging song. She had a beautiful, powerful voice, and it was accurate and smooth.
Even now, this family still likes to join in on Celine Dion songs. It is not surprising that Celine’s newborn sister was named Dionne by the couple. Whether or not little Dionne will be as vocally gifted as her older sibling is too soon to tell.
