Rare Tree Dormouse That Hasn’t Been Seen For 20 Years Found In Austria

The rare tree dormouse has not been spotted for over 20 years. And recently it is spotted in the Austrian woodlands.

Foresters spent two years searching for the little unique critter. As the species are not so common only a few things are known about them. They have silver hair, a bushy tail, and cute black googly eyes. The tree dormouse hibernates for the wider.

So when the forester put some boxes in the forest there are many dormice found there gathering some food from the boxes. They gather food for winter ta eat and gain some winter fat. It is an omnivorous critter.

As the species are rare little do we know about them. But to learn more the foresters should know where the dormice can be found.
